Money Raised for Charity
The Greetings Card Company is committed to supporting our participating charities through sales from the site. We don’t charge any administration or registration fee to the charities involved. All royalties are based on the retail price excluding VAT and postage. The level of royalty generated on your order will be displayed on your invoice. Stamps do not generate a charity royalty.
At the checkout, customers buying non-charity branded products are given a choice to support a charity or not.
Charity Selected:
Customers who choose to support a charity will be asked to pick a single charity or share the royalty between all our participating charities. For every charity order, we will double our customers contribution, meaning that the charity will receive 3 times the original royalty selected by the customer. The level of royalty given is:
- Everyday Cards and Gifts – 7.5% (2.5% Customer – 5% GCC)
- Printed Personalised Cards – 7.5% (2.5% Customer – 5% GCC)
No Charity Selected:
Customers who choose not to support a charity will have their order value reduced by the percentage that would otherwise have gone to charity (2.5%). No contribution will be made by GCC.
Charity Branded Products:
Where products are branded with charity details, such as packs of charity Christmas cards, charity selection is not optional and the level of royalty given will be as follows:
- GCC Printed Charity Christmas Card Packs – 7.5%
- Charity’s Own Christmas Card Packs – 66%
