Mission Statement
The Association of Young People with ME (AYME - pronounced aim) is the national registered charity dedicated solely to the cheerful support of children and young people with ME and their families. Its members range from 5 years to 25 years old .
It aims:
to provide support, comfort, reassurance and friendship to children and young people with ME and to their families;
to create opportunities for young people with ME to help, support and encourage each other;
to supply information and advice to young people with ME and their families and friends;
to empower young people with ME to have their voices heard within society;
to campaign and lobby for increased recognition and understanding of the needs of young people with ME, including amongst the educational, social care and medical professions;
Membership is free.
AYME runs entirely on voluntary donations.
AYME believes in listening to young people; they have important things to say.
