Mission Statement

The Pituitary Foundation exists to support and inform the estimated 50-70,000
pituitary patients in the UK, their families, friends and carers, together with
anyone with an interest in pituitary disorders; and to raise public awareness of
pituitary disease. We do this by:

The provision of a national helpline.
The provision of a range of patient leaflets written in accessible
jargon-free patient-friendly language. We currently have fourteen titles
The production and distribution of a GP Factfile to assist GPs
with their diagnostic and shared aftercare skills
The establishment of 40 Local Support Groups, run by patients
and carers, for patients and carers.
The production of a three-yearly newsletter, Pituitary Life, which
is mailed to all members
The staging of regular conferences
A comprehensive website and online forum
A network of "telephone buddies" who give support to, and share
their experiences with, their fellow patients and carers
An endocrine nurse service that operates on scheduled hours each week

Letter of Support

We are delighted to be associated with such an attractive site as this, as it allows us to
bring our services to the attention of many more people while at the same time raising vital funds for our work.

We are a small charity, launched in November 1994, and could not contemplate
undertaking a major retailing campaign but through this link with The Greetings Card Company we are able to offer a delightful and varied selection of cards and gifts to our members and supporters.

Thank you for visiting this site!
